Consensus Planning, an Albuquerque-based Planning and Landscape Architecture firm, has been engaged by Chaves County to update the 2020 Chaves County Comprehensive Plan, which was also authored by Consensus Planning.
The Comprehensive Plan is a long-range, general policy guide that provides a written and graphic description of existing conditions, community vision, and a “road map” for the future. The Plan ensures the community vision is achieved through sound decision-making regarding future growth and development. It is adopted by the Governing Body as a Resolution.
The Comprehensive Plan is organized by plan elements, each containing a description of existing conditions and background information, followed by goals that describe where the community sees itself in the future, objectives describing what the goal is trying to achieve, and implementation strategies that describe the actions the community needs to take to achieve the goal. The Plan is built from the public engagement process, research and analysis, and our professional planning expertise.
